What A Deal

Some of my friends know that I LOVE to bargain shop. I have expensive taste and a shoestring budget. I'm always going over home decor blogs and crafting blogs to find out what the new decor rage is all about. For the past year, I've noticed several of my favorite blog authors sporting ceramic garden stools in their homes. The photos below show gold and silver garden stools being used as side tables.

I checked out several places like Ballard Design, Pottery Barn, and Wisteria to see what they cost. Even my favorite store, Target, sells them. They range from the $100's up to the $500's and I have even seen some for as much as $1000. Eek!! Definitely NOT in my budget.

I forgot about them for a while, but while doing some Christmas shopping at my local Ross store, guess what I found?? I was rounding the aisle and it was like a choir of angels started to sing. Then the stars and lights were coming down from the heavens. Ok, that really didn't happen, but I think I did let out a little scream of excitement when I saw it. At the bottom shelf was a perfectly good oriental red ceramic garden stool. I was nervous picking it up to see the price tag, but when I saw the $20 price tag...SCORE!!!

I scooped it up and went straight for the check out. Once I got it home, I found a spot for it in the living room, but still need to figure out exactly where I want it. I'm just so thrilled that I found one. I looked up the same kind that I have and found it being sold for nearly $200. So I guess getting it for $20 is quite a deal.
