I am not a huge couponer. Is that even a word? Anyway, I try my best to clip coupons and will usually save around $20 on a grocery run. One time I actually saved nearly $80, but that took some extreme hard work. Yesterday, Greg told me that the Aveda salon that I use called to let me know that my stylist had left. WHAT?? SERIOUSLY?? UGH!! Do they not realize it took me years to find a person who wouldn't give me a cut that made my hair look like a frizzed out Christmas tree? I was quite upset, but then things turned around. Greg told me they were offering some free cuts or something. I immediately called them back and spoke to the owner. She then told me that since my stylist left (and they didn't tell me where she went), they would give me a free cut and anything else I wanted. Oh yeah! On top of that, they would offer me two more free cuts, plus 20% off the store so I can purchase Aveda products. Oh, even better yeah! So after making an appointment, I added full highlights to my freebie day at the salon. I was trying to figure out what else I could add, but I didn't want to seem greedy (insert devious smile).
So this Saturday, I'm getting a haircut by their master stylist plus highlights for free. I'm not really sure if master stylist, designer stylist, junior stylist and whatever other stylists they have really mean much. I just want someone who can cut hair and do it well. And getting it all for free is gold!
Later, Greg handed me the mail and inside a Staples envelope were coupons that I can use for free merchandise. Score! Back in December, I bought two packages of batteries for all those wonderful noise making toys that the kids were getting. The lady at the counter said that I should receive coupons for the same price as the batteries since I used my Staples reward card. So now I have $26 in coupons that I can use, and most likely it will be for more batteries for those awesome noisy toys that the kids have. Either that, or printer ink.
