Dallas Cowboys

Last fall, my cousin's co-worker happened to buy 16 tickets to the Dallas Cowboys v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game for December 17. His wife sent me a message asking if Greg and I wanted to come with them. Uh, Hello??? Yeah!! Well, I say that like Greg was super excited, too. Actually, he wasn't. I guess my Texas blood hasn't gotten into him yet. If it were a 49er's or Patriots game, he would have been all over that. But that wasn't going to stop me.

Eric and Summer saved me a ticket and I was super excited to be going to my very first NFL game. One of Eric's co-workers lives near the stadium so we took advantage and parked in his neighborhood. Supposedly, this guy lived across the street from the stadium, however, that wasn't the case. Luckily, it wasn't too hot or too cold for walking over to the game. As we got closer through the residential area, homeowners were selling off their driveway space for $10-30 per car. Some of those homeowners really took advantage and had half a dozen or more cars parked in their driveway, lawn and practically in their homes. I guess that's one way to make a dollar.

As we got nearer to the stadium, we realized that Dallas fans were far outnumbering Tampa fans. It was a sea of navy and silver. We had great seats inside and were surrounded by Dallas people, well except for that one guy dressed in red. He got up after halftime and we never saw him again.

It was a great game, although I must admit I wasn't fully paying attention. There was so much going on with people dressed as pirates, fireworks going off, and people throwing beads off the pirate ship. So am I hooked on NFL that I now want to get season tickets? Nah....but it was fun and something I'm so happy I finally did.

Me and Summer, notice the scoreboard behind us?! 28-0!
