Can't Beat Cheap!

Hello, my name is Denise and I'm addicted to Craigslist. It's true, I'm a Craigslist stalker. Everyday, I have to check out the free and for sale section of furniture to see what new items have been posted. I do it while waiting for the kids to get dressed in the morning, I do it right before bed, I even check out the site on my new android phone while sitting in the carpool line waiting for school to be over. While Greg thinks it a bit crazy and is contemplating me seeking help, I have found some amazing deals on there.

This is my newest find, a Pier One glass top table that some young surfer dude (still trying to figure out where he surfs in Tampa) was selling for $35. I honestly don't know if it came from Pier One, but that's what he told me. Nevertheless, these tables range from $200-500 a piece! I got it in great condition and it will be perfect in my living room.

Here's Hayden posing with the new table. You will also notice a greenish wooden tray table/stand also in the photo on the left side. That's another one of my addictions....Goodwill. I found that little diamond in the rough for $2. Just needs a little sanding and repainting and will be perfect. Not sure where I will put it, but you can't beat a $2 table!

I found another glass top table a week ago from Pottery Barn that a woman was selling. She told me she paid over $500 for it, but when I checked Pottery Barn's website, it was selling for $399. She wasn't very happy with me when I pointed that out. She wanted me to buy her table for $275. I told her I have a strict budget and was wondering if she would be willing to part with it for $100. She desperately tried to get me up to $175, and even told me she had other offers higher than mine. As it turned out, she was just trying to get everyone to upbid one another (she really should have posted on ebay!) and I wouldn't do it. But I'm so glad I didn't get the Pottery Barn table because I'm so happy with my $35 most likely Pier One table.

Yes, I'm so addicted to Craigslist that I was combing their website while I was waiting for my photos to upload on this blog. Nothing wrong with a thrifty girl!
