Hoppy Easter

We had a nice Easter yesterday here at the house. We didn't go all out as usual, but instead kept it pretty low key. Greg has had duty quite a lot these past few weeks and we were worried he might get called in again if there was a ship issue. Luckily, nothing happened, so things went well.

The kids stayed upstairs while the bunny was outside hiding eggs.

Taylor told me that she didn't think the bunny was real. She heard me stuffing eggs in the backroom, so after trying my best to convince her, I finally gave up and had her help me with the eggs.

After a few minutes, she told me that she still believes in the Easter bunny! Really, Taylor?? You are sitting here stuffing eggs that you know we are going to hide, but you still believe in the bunny?

"Of course, Mom! The bunny just needs help because he can't be everywhere at the same time." Interesting thought, Taylor.

Riley, however, told me she thinks I'm waking up in the middle of the night to hide eggs.

I told her I like my sleep. She still wasn't convinced.

They enjoyed the egg hunt. Greg made a dinner of ham, potatoes, and carrots. So no overstuffing ourselves. The kids got bubbles in their baskets so they spent the evening outside blowing bubbles. Well, sort of. Hayden kept trying to catch the bubbles in his mouth. Imagine that!
