Hayden spends quite a lot of time in the backyard looking for toads and mosquito eaters. Recently, he has started catching the lizards, or anoles as they are actually named.
Greg gave him the idea that your can pinch the side of their mouths and the anoles will open their mouths and then you can wear them like earrings. Being a mom, I immediately think of disease and salmonella. But after seeing Hayden try to kiss the toad, I guess there are worse things to worry about.
Spring is here so that means we are finally getting color in the yard.
It also means the bees are back. Lots of bees! Hayden has been stung several times, so at least we know there isn't much worry there.
Greg taught the kids how to pet bees. Yes, you can actually do this, although I wouldn't recommend it. So here is Hayden looking for a few to pet. I just stand by with bee sting ointment and a bandaid.
