I took the kids outside for about 30 minutes until I couldn't resist the need to pass out from the extreme heat. I was told it was actually a nice cool day compared to the previous 100+ degree days. I'll just have to remember to keep ice packs nearby on those afternoons. I guess once you no longer live in a certain climate, you forget what it's like. My southern family and friends thought I was crazy that I considered 30 degrees in Maine to be refreshing and pleasant. Even at 50 degrees, we would be outside in t-shirts and shorts while my visiting mother was dressed in a full parka. But now the Texas heat is a bit too hot for me, so I guess I'll have to get used to it again.

Can I just say that Taylor and Riley remind me so much of Logan and Ethan!!! They are like night and day in looks! And that baby boy looks sooo much like Jack...but I see a little Dennis in there too! So precious!
