Today I was on my mom's site and decided to post the following:
***I'm a SAHM, and in order to keep my sanity, I belong to different organizations and clubs so I can get out of the house and do things for myself. My husband travels about half the year to other countries living out of hotels and resorts and flies first class everywhere he goes. He says it's not all that fun, but when he's calling me from Seychelles or Kenya and telling me he was looking out from his hotel room onto the beach while I'm dealing with a screamer, a whiner and an infant who is begging to eat, I'm not all that sympathetic to my husband's cries of..."Oh, I wish I were home, because I'm getting bored over here doing another safari" or "There wasn't much to do today so we played beach volleyball again."
So he gets back from Mexico on Saturday night and by Sunday afternoon, I'm out the door! Tuesday I had a photography club meeting, and Wednesday was my Bunko night. Saturday was a birthday party to go to around lunchtime, and then that night was a wine tasting party at a friends house. Unfortunately, our middle child got sick and had to stay home. So my husband, who is the bigger wine drinker, offered to stay home with the two youngest children so I could go. Then Sunday I had lunch with some moms. That afternoon, my husband says he needs to go run an errand. He comes back with a dozen red roses and my favorite casablanca lillies in a vase. BEAUTIFUL!!! He said he didn't understand how I do it with 3 kids while he is on his trips. He had a slight taste of it this week and could barely handle it. It's nice being appreciated.***
I ended up getting a ton of replies like: How sweet! Such a nice husband. You're one of the lucky ones with such a great man!
So I started thinking....yep! I am lucky to have such a great guy!
