Valentine's Day Girls

I got a note home from Taylor's teacher that there will be a Valentine's party in her class. Each child is supposed to bring something to put in each kid's Valentine mailbox, like candy, one of those Valentine card things you can get at the grocery store, or something cute. Well, being the "creative" person I am, I decided my child will NOT be going to the grocery store to get the typical box of Valentines. So I took it upon myself to create something for her to give to her classmates and teachers. I am making clothespin Valentine girls. I started out making an assembly line. First I painted the hearts, spray painted the glitter on them, and then wrote the appropriate saying. Then the clothespin girls came next. They got their shoes painted on and their rosy colored cheeks. I added eyes and a smile, along with the shoelaces. The yarn hair was a pain, especially trying to get it to stick on the wood. The ribbon bows were also hard, but I couldn't give up. I glued the heart to the clothespin, and........the Valentine Girl was created. I tried to make them each different. Oh, and each one has a magnet on the back so it becomes a fridge magnet. Now that's COOL!! Next, I'm making little cellophane bags with my Stampin' Up supplies and filling it with candy (it's Valentine's Day, gotta have candy) and the magnet. Hope the kids like it. I'll post photos of the cellophane bags later.
